Kelsey’s Corner The Gentle Magic of HalloweenThere’s a soft kind of magic to Halloween that lives beyond the costumes and candy. It’s in the glow of porch lights and the giggles under masks. It’s in the way your home smells like cinnamon and candle wax at once. But for some of us.. and especially for some of our kids, the excitement can tip into overwhelm. The flashing lights, loud crowds, itchy costumes, and sugar rushes can turn “fun” into “too much” fast. This season, I’ve been learning to honor both sides: the thrill and the peace. Remember, YOU can still make Halloween magical,
even if your version looks different. Maybe it’s a quiet movie night, digging into some pumpkin-scented fluff from sensory dough co., or handing out treats from the front porch while sipping cider. It all counts. It all matters. So here’s to the parents creating soft spaces in a loud world. Here’s to the sensory-friendly celebrations, the slow nights, the gentle magic. The kind that lasts longer than sugar highs. Enjoy this Time of Life Your Way, Kelsey 💜 Have a Halloween story or sensory-friendly idea to share? We’d love to feature it in our next newsletter!
