Veterans Day:
Reflections from a Fellow Veteran
As an Air Force veteran and mom of two, Veterans Day is a quiet reminder of service, sacrifice, and perspective. Beyond parades and ceremonies, it’s about the people behind the uniforms and the small, often unseen ways their lives touch ours.
Reflecting on my own journey, I am reminded of the power of community, the kindness of strangers, and how much we all carry quietly. Today, honor a veteran by listening, learning, or simply thanking them—it costs nothing but carries immense weight.
“We don’t serve for recognition. We serve to ensure others can live freely and fully.” — Kelsey Beaver
In every act of gratitude, from a handwritten note to a smile, we keep the spirit of service alive. And in honoring those who served, we are reminded to serve each other, our families, and our communities with the same heart.
To all veterans: thank you for your service. Your story matters.
