Inside the Magic of

My Little Town Indoor Playroom

Yesterday’s first snowfall wrapped our community in one of those soft, quiet winter moments you can almost feel in your chest. And while the world slowed down outside, one place in Warrensburg stayed warm, bright, and full of joy: My Little Town Indoor Playroom.

If you’ve ever stepped inside, you know it immediately — the calm, the warmth, the welcome. It’s the kind of place where parents breathe deeper and children light up before they even get their coats off.

Walking Into My Little Town

Whether you’re greeted by Ms. Laura, Mr. Ron, or one of their incredible team members, the kindness hits you first. The space is spotless, organized, intentionally designed, and maintained with a level of care that speaks volumes about how deeply they value every single person who walks through their doors.

Parents have places to sit, snack, drink their coffee while it's hot (or iced!), chat, and just breathe. Kids have an entire small-town world to explore — safely, creatively, and independently.

A Town Built by the Community

Every wall inside is covered in vibrant murals painted by a local artist, depicting:

  • A colorful hometown diner
  • A cheerful police station
  • A family farm scene
  • A playful veterinarian’s office
  • A cozy cabin in the “woods”
  • A full small-town streetscape for imaginative play

Every structure, the diner, the vet’s office, the play cabin, is built with care and safety in mind. Parents, grandparents, neighbors, and skilled friends express loving being able to go to a local place that is a safe, clean, and fulll of imaginative play for children.

A Legacy Rooted in Warrensburg

For decades, Ms. Laura and Mr. Ron have been pillars of Warrensburg. They raised their children here — and now their children are raising theirs.

Their dedication to supporting local businesses, families, and connections shows up in everything they do.

My Little Town isn’t just a playroom. It’s a place where childhood memories take root.

Next door, My Little Town is preparing to bring something extraordinary to life — a full sensory gym designed for regulation, calming, inclusion, and therapeutic play.

Imagine a space with:

  • Soothing, low lighting
  • Quiet, cozy corners for breaks
  • Sensory equipment for emotional regulation
  • A movement-friendly sensory pit
  • A peaceful atmosphere for children overwhelmed by loud or bright spaces

This isn’t just another room, it’s a lifeline for neurodivergent children, sensory seekers, and families who need a space where their child is met with understanding, not judgment.

How We Can Help Build Phase 2

My Little Town has poured their heart into creating a space for our kids. Now, our community has the opportunity to pour back into them.

Local businesses, families, and partners are invited to help bring Phase 2 to life. Supporters will have their names displayed permanently on the wall — a lasting reminder of the people who believed in this mission.

“Places like My Little Town don’t just exist — they survive because a community believes they’re worth it. We need to create a sensory space in the heart of where everyone loves to go to in Warrensburg and that is My Little Town Indoor Playroom.”

For every birthday party, rainy-day rescue, meltdown met with compassion, and first steps into imaginative play — My Little Town has been there for us. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
