This week my kids started talking about leprechauns.

They were convinced one might visit our house for St. Patrick’s Day.

And suddenly our living room turned into a brainstorming session about traps, gold coins, and how exactly you catch a magical creature.

At one point I caught myself smiling while listening to them explain their plan.

Because the truth is, kids see luck differently than adults do.

For them, luck isn't about winning something big.

Luck is finding the biggest cookie in the jar.

Luck is getting to stay up five minutes later.

Luck is building a fort in the living room and pretending it’s a castle.

Watching them reminded me that sometimes the luckiest thing in the world is simply having these little everyday moments with the people you love.

If you ever have a parenting moment or story you'd love to share with our community, I would truly love to hear it.
