Something truly special has quietly taken shape inside My Little Town in Warrensburg...
A space designed not for chaos or high energy play — but for something many children need just as much.
Calm.
The newly created Calm Room is a dedicated sensory space designed to help children regulate their bodies, explore sensory experiences, and take a break from overwhelming environments.
Unlike traditional play spaces, the Calm Room focuses on gentle engagement and intentional sensory input.
Inside the room families will discover:
- A sensory discovery cart filled with tactile tools
- A sensory play cart designed for hands-on exploration
- Sensory stepping stones that support body awareness
- A calm corner tent where children can reset
- A climbing tower that provides controlled movement
- The incredible Construction Junction sand sensory play area
Every element was selected with intention to support children who benefit from sensory input — helping them calm their nervous systems, build coordination, and explore textures safely.
For many families, spaces like this are incredibly meaningful.
Because sometimes what a child needs most isn’t more stimulation.
Sometimes they need a place where the world feels a little quieter.
A little softer.
A little more manageable.
And now, our community has that space.
