Why We Signed Our Boys Up for MoCHIP
While attending the Warrensburg Elks Lodge car show, we discovered the Missouri Child Identification Program (MoCHIP) being offered free on site—and immediately signed up.
If you’re unfamiliar, MoCHIP provides families with a child identification packet containing important emergency information including:
- Physical description
- Photographs
- Digital fingerprints
- Contact information
- Dental impression
- DNA / scent specimen support tools
The process took only about 15 minutes per child.
No data is stored in a database—the packet is given directly to parents for safekeeping.
It was quick, professional, and gave us tremendous peace of mind.
Truthfully, it’s one of those things you hope you never need…
But are incredibly grateful to have.
