πŸ’™ When a Community Shows Up for Each Other

Why the JoCo Helps Community Health Fair is About More Than Healthcare

Healthy communities don't happen by accident.

They're built one neighbor, one volunteer, one organization, and one act of kindness at a time.

That's exactly what you'll find at this year's JoCo Helps Community Health Fair.

On Tuesday, August 18, from 2:00–6:00 p.m., families from Johnson County and surrounding communities are invited to the Warrensburg Community Center for a completely FREE afternoon focused on health, wellness, education, and support.

"Strong communities aren't built because everyone has the same needs. They're built because neighbors help meet each other's needs."

More Than Screenings

Yes, there will be health resources.

But this event is really about removing barriers.

Families will have opportunities to connect with organizations that provide healthcare, education, veteran services, family resources, and community support—all in one place.

For many families, that one conversation could make a lasting difference.

What Families Can Expect

  • 🩺 Health resources and screenings
  • πŸ’‰ School immunization opportunities
  • 🏈 Sports physical information
  • βœ‚οΈ Haircuts and wellness services (participating providers)
  • πŸŽ– Veteran and military resources
  • πŸ₯ Community organizations
  • πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§ Family support services
  • 🎁 Giveaways, information, and community connections

One Afternoon Can Make A Difference

Sometimes families don't know where to begin.

This event brings dozens of organizations together so asking for help feels a little easier.

Whether you're looking for healthcare information, community resources, or simply want to learn what services are available in Johnson County, this is an opportunity worth taking.

❀️ Community Challenge

Know someone who could benefit from this event? Share it. Sometimes sharing information is one of the simplest ways we can support another family.

Because Healthy Communities Look Like This

Neighbors helping neighbors.

Organizations working together.

Families finding resources without barriers.

Children beginning the school year healthier and more prepared.

Veterans connecting with services they've earned.

Parents discovering support they didn't know existed.

That's what community looks like.

And that's worth celebrating.
